Project RYZE Software Announcement
Physical Facilities has always adapted its tools to meet the needs of the campus. As those needs have grown, it has become clear that our current system can no longer support the unified, data‑driven operations required today.
In June 2023, we began a formal search for a modern solution. What started as an effort to find an asset-management tool alongside OIT quickly revealed that Physical Facilities required a more comprehensive and integrated software platform. With this new focus, we reached out to more than 30 companies, reviewed 10 detailed RFI (Request for Information) responses, and partnered with the BYU Office of IT to launch Project RYZE (Resourceful Stewardship • Your Campus, Unified • Zion‑Centered Support • Empowered Operations). Through two rounds of onsite demonstrations and five days of in‑depth evaluations, one platform consistently stood out.
We are excited to announce that AssetWorks has been selected as our new integrated facilities management system. Their platform stood out to our teams for its unified approach across the many divisions within Physical Facilities and its strong design for higher‑education institutions. AssetWorks will unify our processes, eliminate silos, and provide the modern backbone needed to support assets, space, work orders, capital planning, fleet operations, and professional services—all within a single, connected platform.
More information about the transition, timeline, and next steps will be shared here as it becomes available.
This is an important step forward for Physical Facilities, and we’re grateful for the thoughtful work that brought us here.
